Temperature-driven nonclassical light.
With reference to two well known scenarios, we discuss, for nonclassical light, the competition between quantum and thermal effects. It is seen that for nonclassical light to be produced some amount of temperature-induced disorder is needed plus quantum fluctuations of order ħ squared.

متن کاملQuantum Logic and Nonclassical Logics
Classical logic is sometimes described as “the logic of an omniscient mind in a deterministic universe”. From an intuitive point of view the basic features of classical semantics can be summarized as follows: 1) any problem is semantically decided : for any sentence α, either α or its negation ¬α is true (excluded middle principle); at the same time, a sentence α and its negation ¬α cannot be b...
متن کاملDynamical evolution of nonclassical properties in cavity quantum electrodynamics with a single trapped ion
In this paper, by considering a system consisting of a single two-level trapped ion interacting with a single-mode quantized radiation field inside a lossless cavity, the temporal evolution of the ionic and the cavity-field quantum statistical properties including photon-counting statistics, quantum fluctuations of the field quadratures and quantum fluctuations of the ionic dipole variables are...
